This two-volume set is in very good condition. Red cloth covered boards with decorative gilt title on spines and front covers. Top edge gilt. The illustrations and margin drawings are in perfect condition. The spines have fading and show wear. Black cardboard slipcase shows wear and has ruboff along edges.From the preface:
